What is the Illinois NextSteps Project?

Four comprehensive surveys are available to all Illinois Schools through the funding and technical efforts of the Area 5 Learning Technology Hub. This comprehensive survey service is developed and hosted by the Area 5 Learning Technology Hub with special permission given to ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education) for the use of the licensed, copyright materials from Education Technology Planner's Grappling with Accountability resource book.

Purpose: It requires an enormous amount of investment in technology and staff development to ensure the highest benefits for ALL students! The aggregate data from these surveys will determine technology needs, current successes, and what is needed next to further implement technology's impact on learning for ALL students.

 

Illinois NextSteps Technology Evaluation Toolkit

The Illinois NextSteps Technology Evaluation Toolkit is now available to help move schools to the next level of technology implementation success! It was developed to address the next generation of technology issues: scalability, equity and accountability. Measurable results for ALL students depend upon a school's capacity to organize and asses technology use towards targeted instructional goals. The Illinois NextSteps Toolkit and accompanying training materials supports schools ready to increase their capacity for effective, measurable uses of technology for ALL students. State-wide licensing was purchased for unlimited duplication of Educations Technology Planner's resource book, Grappling with Accountability. Grappling's extensive tools and processes are fully aligned with the Illinois Technology Planning Blueprint.

 

How to Participate

This website is the key to accessing the IL NextSteps On-Line Surveys.  These surveys will allow your Illinois school district to quickly and efficiently collect and analyze data from your constituents.  Once the users have completed the surveys, a district administrator will be able to view the compiled results immediately via an administration section of this website.  To get your district started in the IL NextSteps process, simply click the "Participate" link above and follow the directions.
